China Will Hold Its First Trade Fair On The Internet 2000/6/2
(Chinanews , Beijing, June 1, by Zhao Haiyan) Tomorrow, “Mid-west China Area Foreign Trade & Technical Cooperation Symposium , 2000” will be jointly held by its co-sponsors, the China’s State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office(SCOCAO) and the China Information Association. It is reported to be the first business symposium held on the internet in China.
The special domain name for the symposium is :www.chinainvest.net.cn/qbh.
Mr. Li Haifeng, SCOCAO deputy director briefed the aims of the symposium-on-line as one to promote more overseas Chinese , people from Taiwan , Hongkong, and Macau , as well as foreign entrepreneurs to take part in resources utilization, technical transferring and infrastructure construction in Mid-west China. And it is also aimed to broaden channels for business & technical cooperation for enterprises in the area.
It is believed that , via the symposium-on-line, international entrepreneurs , especially overseas Chinese businessmen will have a better understanding of China’s Mid-west area , which will consequently resulte in more international trade and technical cooperation projects in field such as investment, export proxy and etc.
Enterprises from provinces and cities such as Chong Qing, Si Chuan, Shan Xi, Yun Nan, Ning Xia, Gan Shu, Gui Zhou, Xing Jiang, Inner- Mongolia, Shan Xi, Ji Ling, Hei Longjiang, An Hui, Jiang Xi, Hu Nan, Hu Bei, He Nan, Qing Dao, Cheng Du, Shi Jiazhuang, Chang Zhou participated in the symposium.
