GOFA’s Friendly Relations With Overseas Organizations 1999/10/30
About GOFA:
GANSU OVERSEAS FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION (GOFA) is a high-level civilian organization set up to promote communications and cooperation between people in Gan Su Province and fellow Chinese in Hongkong, Macau, and Taiwan , as well as overseas Chinese. The GOFA was founded in August, 1991. Its current director is Ms. Du Ying, also deputy chairwoman of Gan Su Provincial People’s Political Consultative Conference(PPPCC) and chief of Unified Front Work Department of Gan Su Provincial Party Committee. Its address: Room 114, No. 1648, Nanchang Rd, Lan Zhou, Gan Su Province. The Association’s principle is to serve the great aim of motherland’s peaceful reunification and the revival of Chinese nation by making friends, enhancing communications and cooperation with them.
GOFA now has 91 membership organizations and 111 members, 15 deputy directors, 3 overseas consultants, and 2 overseas honorable directors.

Ever since it was set up , GOFA has been making unremitting efforts to promote overseas friendship under the supports of all its members .It has made great contributions to the province’s reform and opening-up process as well as its economic development. In recent years, GOFA has received more than 800 visitors from dozens of countries or regions, and provided multiple service to them. The GOFA is on good relations with Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hongkong Special Administration, Hu Zhiguang, DCCC president, and people from all walks of life in Taiwan.
